Guard Tour Assurance Program

The Guard Tour Assurance Program or "G Tap" was developed by our staff using state of the art wireless internet technology. This is our premier service for any company looking for accountability and reliability from a contract security guard service. GTAP ensures that the guard will complete effective security patrols every shift. With GTAP you can be confident that our team will be tracking and analyzing your guard’s movements as well as providing you with professional reports.

A small (1½ centimeters) stainless steel electronic buttons are installed on your site. Where they are installed is up to you or our knowledgeable staff can recommend checkpoint placement. The guard carries an electronic pen and uses it each time they walk by a checkpoint or performs a required function. As each contact is made the date, time and checkpoint or function information is recorded into the electronic pen.

There are two installation packages.

  • Package #1, installs checkpoint buttons, an electronic pen and an onsite downloader. The downloader needs only a standard electrical outlet to function and relays the data to the internet wirelessly. With this option you can monitor the officer’s performance via the internet (password protected) at anytime. Or allow us to monitor your site and email you a weekly report.
  • Package #2, installs checkpoint buttons and an electronic pen. The pen is downloaded once a week by our supervisor and a report is generated and emailed weekly to you.
  • Additionally, with either package our staff will continue to monitor your site.

Guard shift supervisors and car patrol officers use the GTAP system to monitor vehicle patrol visits and visits to any client site.

All GTAP data is kept securely in a professionally staffed computer center. This ensures the integrity of the data, protecting it against software or hardware failure and prevents any attempt to compromise data.

The single most important results of such accurate data collection, is the ability of our staff to extrapolate a comprehensive picture of what the guards and supervisors are doing every day. It allows us to identify unsatisfactory patrol patterns and correct questionable performance judiciously. At Trident Security Services we are convinced that "You get what you inspect not what you expect".
